Toilet Paper Tube Alphabet Crafts – Z is for Zipper

Z is for Zipper
* Draw a small rectangle at the top of the tube for your zipper. Cut along the sides and bend it down (shown above). Draw dashed lines underneath your rectangle for the zipper. 
*Decorate the rest of the tube. We decorated ours like a flowered jacket.

Y is for Yellow
* Paint or color your tube yellow. The yellow we were using didn’t show up very well so we wrapped it in yellow construction paper.

Rip yellow paper into pieces and glue them onto the tube. 
Wrap the tube in yellow yarn. 
Cut pictures out of a magazine of things that are yellow. Glue them onto the tube.

Toilet Paper Tube Alphabet Crafts – X is for X-ray

X is for X-ray

*Draw a rectangle with the outline of bones inside of it. 
*Paint or color the inside of the rectangle black, leaving the bones white to make the X-ray. 
*Use a knife or scissors to cut along the sides of the rectangle. Also, cut about a cm in from each corner on the top and bottom of the rectangle. This will let the x-ray pop out from the tube.

W is for Watermelon

*Draw the outline of the watermelon for your child to color or paint. We also decided to color a picnic blanket below the slice of watermelon.
*Use a knife or scissors to cut along the top of the watermelon (stop before the side of the tube) and just a centimeter down on each edge of the watermelon so that it pops up from the tube.

*Cut a slit in the toilet paper tube about half way down. 
*Fold into a cone shape. 
*Use markers, crayons, or paint to decorate your volcano with lava.

S is for Snake
Use two toilet paper tubes and cut each one in half. 
Hole punch the side of each one and connect with yarn or string. 
Draw the eyes of your snake and decorate. 
Put a piece of red paper in the snakes mouth for a tongue (optional).
